PEPFAR Small Grant Project (drop down)

ELSOPHI, in partnership with El-Elohe Ministry Worldwide, was a recipient of a PEPFAR Small Grant Project from the US Embassy in Nigeria, which was implemented in the Ikanekpo community in Ankpa LGA of Kogi State from June 2013 to February 2014

This project provided psychosocial and protection services to 50 vulnerable children, Household Economic strengthening for 20 carers, training for 20 carers on money/business management, 20 peer educators and 15 traditional birth attendants (TBAs) in the Ikanekpo community, Ankpa LGA of Kogi State.

CSS Project (drop-down)

From 2013 to 2017, ELSOPHI implemented the Community System Strengthening (CSS) component of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria project in Dekina LGA of Kogi State. Through this project, ELSOHI worked with communities in Dekina and Ofu LGAs to refer clients for uptake of AIDS, TB and malaria services in designated health facilities.

Between June 2013 and March 2014, ELSOPHI has provided AIDS Tuberculosis and Malaria (ATM) services for 560 clients in Dekina LGA through mobile health outreaches and referral to ATM service point across different communities.

USAID Umbrella Grant Mechanism (UMG)- CRS SMILE Program (drop down)

In 2014, through a highly competitive bidding process, ELSOPHI was awarded a grant from the Catholic Relief Services on the USAID-SMILE programme; through this program, ELSOPHI successfully enrolled and provided need based services, including; Health, WASH, Nutrition, household economic strengthening, gender, education and psychosocial support for 7016 (3759M, 3257F) vulnerable children/youths from 1800 vulnerable households using the National Service standard and improvement science approach

In addition, ELSOPHI also successfully facilitated the setting up of community systems for child care by constituting community improvement teams in 8 communities, mobilized and trained 53 community based volunteers and 80 community based improvement team members across 8 communities in Dekina LGA of Kogi State.
